2024 Scholarship Application Form and Process
The RSE alumni are very committed to the academic success and personal growth of our RSEi members. One way that our alumni show this commitment is through the funding of scholarships. There are 4 scholarships funded by alumni that can be awarded yearly to current RSEi students. Two of these scholarships are administered by the RSE Foundation and have no financial aid need requirements. An additional two scholarships are funded by an RSE/RPI endowment and are administered through the RPI Financial Aid office. While the RSE Foundation chooses the awardees and the size of the scholarships of these RSE/RPI endowment scholarships, applicants must be eligible for financial aid as determined by RPI.
RSE Foundation Scholarships:
Frank W. Becker Scholarship is awarded yearly to a Junior in honor of Frank Becker, ’83. This scholarship, initiated in 1987, recognizes the RSEi member who displays the house spirit and commitment to the mission of RSE that characterized Frank Becker. This award is applied to the member’s RPI financial account. The scholarship is administered solely by the RSE Foundation.
Rudy C. Bergfield Scholarship, initiated in 2010 by Rudy C. Bergfield ’49, is available to RSEi members in good academic standing who embody the RSEi mission and promote its reach on the RPI campus. Strong preference is given to applicants residing at the RSE Clubhouse. Additional consideration is given to applicants who participate in athletic competition on campus, but this is not a prerequisite for consideration. An RSEi member can be a recipient for only one academic year. This award is applied to the member’s RPI financial account. The scholarship is administered solely by the RSE Foundation.
